Encounter Portal workshop and presentation in Aberystwyth

March 21 2023 – 16:10
Aberystwyth University, Wales (UK).

Breg and Gert-Jan host a 2-day workshop with students and arts practitioners in and around Penglais Nature Park. The aim is to develop a ‘portal for encounters’ between human more-than-human entities. This portal will engage with unheard an unseen bodies (formerly known as resources) and by doing so question extractive forces in the disciplinary frameworks of both architecture and performance. On March 23rd a public presentation will be held at Aberystwyth University. After a moderated conversation, the attendees are invited to experience the portal in Penglais Park. The workshop is hosted by Andrew Filmer from Aberystwyth University (Wales) in collaboration the Centre of Material Thinking.
